Full member of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, Doctor of Architecture, Professor Vadim Vadimov participated in the 19th meeting of school leaders of the AESOP conference, which took place in Liverpool from March 12 to 14, 2025. The conference theme is “Legitimate and Inclusive Planning Education for Changing and Challenging Times.” In an era marked by growing skepticism about expert knowledge, educational planners must navigate complex societal dynamics, contestations over collective interests, and challenges to professional legitimacy. Spatial planning in conflict-affected areas requires special attention. This year’s meeting focused on inclusive learning approaches that will equip future planners with the skills needed to work in an evolving and often conflictual professional environment.
