In early August, President of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture (UAA) Oleg Sleptsov undertook a working trip to the Republic of Cyprus. The primary purpose of the visit was the official opening of the Academy’s Representation in Cyprus, which is set to become an important communication and coordination center for developing international projects in architecture, construction, and restoration.
By decision of the UAA Presidium, Professor Andreas Philokyprou, an Honorary Member of the Academy and a distinguished expert in architecture and urban planning, was appointed Head of the Representation. His experience and professional connections are expected to foster closer cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus in the fields of architecture and cultural heritage.
