Full member of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, Doctor of Architecture, Professor Vadim Vadimov, at the invitation of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction, took part in the 18th Federal Congress on National Urban Development Policy in Rostock (Germany) from 15 to 17 September 2025.
The theme of the Congress was devoted to discussing modern approaches and strategies for the spatial development of microdistricts in the modern urban environment: "Socially. Productive. Green - wonderful neighbourhoods."
Experts and representatives of the Confederation of Ministers of Construction of the German States and the Association of German Cities and Municipalities joined the dialogue. New projects for the revitalisation of residential areas based on spatial organisation as microdistricts at the end of the 20th century were presented. A sustainable approach based on integrated development for German cities is relevant for Ukraine in order to create programmes for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities.
