On October 1, as part of the Sumy Region Book Forum - 2025, held at the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library, the album "Folk Architects of Ukraine" was presented with the participation of the author Oleg SLEPTSOV, President of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, People's Architect of Ukraine, Doctor of Architecture, Professor.
Oleg SLEPTSOV joined the presentation online, shared with those present the history of the creation of this large-scale project, and emphasized its importance for the development of Ukrainian architectural science and practice. He paid special attention to the contribution of folk architects to the formation of the modern architectural space of Ukraine and noted the important role of the album "Folk Architects of Ukraine" in popularizing Ukrainian architecture abroad.
"This publication is not only a tribute to our outstanding architects, but also a source of inspiration for young professionals. It demonstrates the continuity of Ukrainian architectural tradition and its significant role in the development of our state," said Oleg SLEPTSOV.
The event was made even more special by the speech of Volodymyr BYKOV, Honored Architect of Ukraine, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, Academician of the UAA, who emphasized the scientific and cultural value of the publication.
The presentation was attended by a large audience, including specialists from the architecture and urban planning departments of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Sumy City Council, Sumy District State Administration, architects, teachers and students of the Department of Architecture and Engineering Surveys of Sumy National Agrarian University and Sumy Professional College of Construction and Architecture, which turned the meeting into a meaningful and inspiring event that combined a scientific approach, cultural context, and lively communication.
