On November 4, 2025, President of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture Oleg Sleptsov, People’s Architect of Ukraine, Doctor of Architecture, Professor, and Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, received a diploma from the Ukrainian Book of Records for an outstanding achievement in the field of sacred architecture.
The record was set in the category “Quantity and Innovative Quality” for the largest number of churches and temple complexes (120) designed by a single architect in Ukraine and abroad. All of these architectural works are based on original typological and artistic concepts that embody the development of modern sacred architecture.
This recognition by the Ukrainian Book of Records honors Oleg Sleptsov significant contribution to the advancement of the national architectural school and the spiritual development of the country. The official record includes 120 religious structures — chapels, churches, cathedrals, and temple complexes — realized both in Ukraine and internationally.
The official record registration site is Kyiv, the Church Complex of the Icon of the Mother of God “Life-Giving Spring.”
Diploma No. 01-2501131 was officially signed by Oleg Ivanenko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Book of Records.
